Texas K-12 Bond Results Are In!

On May 2nd, Texas voted and the results are encouraging: A significant number of Texas school districts passed bond propositions, representing major new investment in facilities, safety, technology, athletics, renovations, and new construction across the state.

That's good news for students, families, and communities. It's also a meaningful signal for the AEC industry.

As these bond programs move into delivery, districts will need architects, engineers, contractors, program managers, and other partners to get the work done. K-12 RFQs tied to these programs will likely start surfacing in the coming months, and the firms that are ready will have the advantage.

Before the RFQs Hit, Take a Hard Look at Your Last Submittal

If your firm pursues K-12 work, now is the time to pause and prepare. Pull out your last submission and ask the hard questions:

Was your experience easy to evaluate? Did your team's value come through clearly? Were your project sheets, resumes, and narratives doing the heavy lifting — or just filling pages? Did the submittal feel tailored to that district, or just assembled?

At Emerald Fox, we help AEC firms answer those questions — through full RFQ support, pursuit strategy, or a focused audit of recent K-12 submissions to identify where the next one can be stronger.
